Market monitoring, regulatory model validation, data collection and processing
In consultation with the relevant directorates, identifying the economic, accounting, technical and management data necessary for the Authority’s economic regulatory functions, as well as for analysing potential demand, including through ad hoc requests to entities that hold these data.
With the support of the ICT and Digital Transformation directorate, managing the systematic collection and organisation of the data referenced in paragraph 1 of the Rules of procedure concerning the organisation and operation of the Authority, setting up appropriate data collection methods and ensuring the qualitative and quantitative processing of these data.
Developing algorithms to promote competition, enhance production efficiency and contain costs for users, businesses and consumers, and to assess levels of actual and potential demand, economies of scale, and optimal management areas.
Conducting economic and statistical analyses to support the activities of the Board, the Secretary-General, and the directorates.
Overseeing data processing and updates for the preparation of the Authority’s Annual Report and, with the support of the ICT and Digital Transformation directorate, ensuring the input and update of the relevant section of the official website.
Supporting the Market analysis and regulatory impact assessment directorate in activities related to the economic equilibrium test of public service contracts, as per Article 25 (5) of the Rules of procedure concerning the organisation and operation of the Authority.
Supporting the Access to railway and port infrastructure directorate in institutional collaboration related to the granting of concessions for port areas and docks.
Analysing and monitoring of the effects of acts, activities, and measures within its remit, and reporting quarterly to the Board on the outcomes of these activities.
